How would you feel if you found a girl with a tattoo? In the current cultural society, there seems to be a certain prejudice against girls with tattoos. They think that girls with tattoos are not good girls, as if girls with tattoos are so immoral. Let’s analyze for everyone how girls’ tattoos feel. Are girls with tattoos not good girls?
1. Survivor bias
A common logical fallacy, which means that you can only see the results produced by some kind of screening without realizing the screening process. Therefore, Key information that was filtered out is ignored.
For example: "People who drink wine live longer." Generally, people who have lived long lives have been surveyed and found that many of them drink wine. But there are many more people who drank wine regularly but did not live long, and it is impossible for the media to investigate them.
(PS: This is just an example and does not define the effect of wine)
2. Stereotype
h2>
Stereotype mainly refers to a general and fixed view that people form about a certain thing or object, and generalizes this view to believe that this thing or the whole has this characteristic, while ignoring the individual difference.
For example, in the popular movie "Zootopia", the fox Nick originally wanted to be a policeman, but because of society's stereotypes about cunning foxes, he was ridiculed and discriminated against, so he could only give up on himself and do something Cheating behavior.
The reason for mentioning these two psychological concepts is:
1. No matter how many upvotes there are, the answer is to tell you:
“My boyfriend doesn’t want me to have a tattoo. Mind you, we love each other very much."
"My girlfriend has a tattoo, and I think she has a lot of personality and likes it very much."
"My parents are very open-minded and don't mind her having a tattoo at all."
These answers are basically survivor bias, because those boys who hate girls and break up with them because of their tattoos, and girls who have suffered some discrimination because of their tattoos, are less inclined to express their opinions directly.
Thinking about it from another angle, a boy will give up on a relationship because he minds that the other person has a tattoo, but will not give up on a relationship because he doesn’t mind if the other person has a tattoo.
2. Society has formed a stereotyped prejudice against girls’ tattoos, especially exaggerated tattoos. These include but are not limited to: "mixed society", "chaotic emotional history", "cynical"
Of course, I know that these evaluations are biased and not objective. However, even if you can change some people's perception of tattoos through debate, it will not change the stereotypes of tattoos in society as a whole.
Finally, let’s talk about my personal views.
Although I don’t have a tattoo myself,I think tattoos with a sense of design are very beautiful. A friend once had Schr?dinger’s cat tattooed on his left arm, and a colleague also had his or her zodiac sign tattooed on his arm. They are all people who live and love attentively. However, if you choose to use tattoos to express your attitude towards life, you must also accept some strange views accordingly. You cannot only have the sunny side and not the shady side. The world is fair.
